What were you doing on the first day of winter? Well, if your
were
a Space Coast Jet Rider you could have been cruising around the
Indian River with bright sunshine and 80 degree temperatures and
hanging out at Capt Hiram's Key West Resort at Sebastian Inlet
with some really great folks. The attached pix give you an idea
of
what you missed. Did I mention that there was no wind and that the
water was flat? Or that the water temp was 71 degrees? Just a
great day and a lot of fun especially in view of the fact that most
of
the rest of North America is hunkered down for the winter. Did
I send this to rub it in? You betcha!!!!! It's great to be a SCJR
Clubber!!
I was the last one to leave Marker 21 island and I was treated
to this sea turtle hanging near the island. It was apparently trying
to eat something on the bottom cause it kept bobbing up to the
surface butt first and then it would swim back underwater only
to bob to the surface butt first a few minutes later. I watched
it for 20 minutes or so. Every now and then it would pop its
head up to look around and then submerge again. It really did
not have much interest in me at all cause I could get right up to
it
and it made no effort to get away. Quite an interesting finale to
a great day..
