Howdy fellow Clubbers!!!! We are starting March with a quick start
on Saturday the 1st when we do our monthly RIDE SATURDAY. We
will meet at SCJR PARK at 8:30. Our trip will be decided at that
time by those attending. Even if you don't want to ride you may
want to bring your PWC anyway since the COAST GUARD AUXILLARY
will be there doing courtesy inspections. They will check your ski
for such things as letter placement, ropes, registration, and signaling
device (hand mirror or flares). After successful completion of your
inspection you will receive a decal for the side of your ski signifying
that you are a responsible boater which may come in handy if you
are ever stopped by law enforcement. I think it has helped me a
time or two.

Our executive board will meet the first week of March to plan our
regular meeting at Chowder's on Tues the 11th and future rides and
events. Among other topics we will present for a vote ordering
license plate holders for our cars and trailers. Along with our shirts
and hats and decals they would be a nice way to set us apart from
other jetskiers and other clubs, making us unique. We will have a
speaker from the COAST GUARD AUXILLARY. Their topic will be their
purpose and what they mean to the boating community. So please
make plans to come and support the speaker who is willing to forfeit
an evening at home to be with us. Come and hang with fellow
clubbers and get some good grub at the NEW Chowders.

A big welcome goes out to our new sister club THE FLORIDA JET
RIDERS!!! They had their kickoff ride the last weekend in Feb
in Daytona and had some 50 PWC show up including 14 SCJR
clubbers. Our hats are off to club founder and our friend TINA
O'CONNELL for such a succesful event. Check out their website
and sign up for a free membership. We wish TINA and FJR flat
waters and safe boating.

Finally and most importantly I would like to thank everyone for
the overwhelming support of blood donations for my grand daughter
JULIA. The folks with O positive and O negative have graciously
offered to donate thier blood. Unlike a surgical patient hers is an
ongoing need so she doesn't need everyone to donate at once.
I will be contacting those that have volunteered on an as needed
basis. The only real criteria is that you cannot have any sniffles
or feeling of sickness an you must not be taking any antibiotics.
Some weeks she needs no blood and some she needs one and even
two pints, depending on her own blood counts. Let me take this
opportunity to tell each of you what a blessing you are to my
family and how much we appreciate your generousity. God Bless.
RIDE SAFE, RIDE SMART-Curt
