Howdy Clubbers!! I was just looking at the picture of me on my
trusty ski on our website and thought, " I wonder if anybody has
any idea where that picture was taken?" Well, that is the Delaware
River and those bridges behind me are the Twin Delaware River
Bridges connecting Wilmington, Delaware to Pennsville, NJ, my
hometown. I'm sitting in the middle of the channel about 2 miles
south of the bridges and about a mile and a half west of the house
I grew up in on the shore of the mighty Delaware. Pretty cool
place to grow up. Lots of early American history, forts and
riverfront battlegrounds. You all know the story of George W.
(that would be Washington) crossing the Delaware right? Well
that was about 40 miles north. The picture was taken last summer
when I did an east coast tour. Anyway, jetski season is way too
short in NJ so I'm very glad I now reside in sunny warm central
Florida where we jetski all year. And ride we do. We started
June with our 3rd annual RIVER RALLY benefiting the cancer
support group, CANDLELIGHTERS, and we raised $2000
for those folks, and had a lot of fun doing it. Then we supported
KEEP BREVARD BEAUTIFUL and cleaned up PINEDA PARK
the next weekend and rode to CAPT HIRAM'S for lunch and
traversed the SEBASTIAN INLET and jumped some waves and
checked out the aquatic wildlife in the ocean. June 21st found us
riding the INDIAN RIVER north from BALLARD PARK to
Titusville and then we stopped for lunch at CONCH KEY INN.
Are you tired of riding yet? Nah, cause this weekend, the 28th
we're trailering to the middle of the state and doing a ride on the
St John's and checking out the gators and other critters that hang
out on and around the river that flows north. We'll stop for lunch
at GATOR LANDING. Folks that are none members that
read these often comment that we're always stopping somewhere
to eat. Yep, cause that's what we do when we aren't riding, hang
out with each other and enjoy the camaraderie that comes with
belonging to SCJR. And next weekend, July 4th, yours truly is
headed to KEY LARGO with some fellow clubbers to do some
riding in the clear green waters of the ATLANTIC OCEAN, bounce
around the Keys and yes visit many of the waterfront restaurants that
line the beaches in JIMMY BUFFET'S favorite playground. Stay
tuned, and hold on to your ski and we'll let you know what's coming
for July, cause ya never know where we will be riding next.. Remember,
RIDE SAFE-RIDE SMART-Curt

All the rides and activities I wrote about for the month of
June and can you believe there's more? Yep, GORDON
MARK and ANN, MICK HATCH and ANGELA, and
MIKE DANFORD all traveled up to MONCK'S CORNER
in South Carolina and did a 120 mile weekend trip down
the Intercoastal to BEAUFORT. They hung out, rode to
CHARLESTON, took part in the Shrimp Festival, and
wandered around checking out the sights. Their journey be-
gan on Thursday the 12th of June when they drove to South
Carolina and spent the night and prepared for the upcoming
journey. Friday they began their trip with some 30 other
PWC owners from around the south and arrived in BEUFORT
about 5 hours later. GORDON said it was a great trip and
a great weekend. They hung out the rest of Friday and had
Saturday to themselves to ride or do whatever. Sunday they
awoke and rode the 120 miles back. They all said they would
do the trip again, that it was fun and very scenic. In fact, MIKE
has been doing the trip for several years and just loves it. Never
a dull moment with the CLUBBERS from SCJR!!!!
